The first stage lab as part of the inclusive training module of the BA Contemporary Dance (ZHdK) and in collaboration with the Swiss National Science Foundation research project «DisAbility on Stage» of the Institute for the Performing Arts and Film (ZHdK) took place in 2017. Disabled performers and ZhdK students created a short piece together which was shown by IntegrART. The Stage Lab was able to gain the renowned performer Annie Hanauer (UK) as the artistic director for its third edition in 2021, a position which Emanuel Gat and Emanuel Rosenberg held in previous editions. Together with her, the ensemble embarks on a search for the implicit and explicit boundaries of the norm. Forcefully yet subtly the performative miniatures «Unforeseen abilities» move through a wide field of possibilities and also act as luminary bodies: Shapes appear as multidimensional realities.
